Brief Introduction

Barrister Kazim Ali Abbasi is a practicing lawyer and have worked with renowned legal experts of Pakistan. He has assisted his late father (Haji Munawwar Ali Abbasi) in election campaigns and have played the role of backup candidate to his uncle, Dr Safdar Abbasi, and elder brother, Moazzam Abbasi, in the last 20 years.

Education

Barrister Kazim Ali Abbasi is a graduate of Cadet College Larkana and completed his LLB from Karachi University. After working with Mr Nooruddin Sarki, during which he also participated in Lawyers Movement, he proceeded to UK to continue higher education.

After completing his Masters degree, he also taught law in UK before returning to Pakistan and establishing his practice here. He was briefly associated with SZABIST Karachi and taught law courses for its University of London External Program.

Political Activities

Barrister Kazim Ali Abbasi has engaged in politics during student years, assisting family members with political activities, campaigning, corner meetings, and organizing large gatherings. His involvement in Lawyers Movement early on during Musharraf era was part of his early political activism, and in subsequent elections at all levels (local bodies, bars, byelections, and general elections) he has played an active role.

General Elections 2024

It’s the first time, in General Elections 2024, that Barrister Kazim Ali Abbasi will be directly contesting elections. The seat he’s contesting is PS – 11, the same seat that his elder brother Moazzam Ali Abbasi has won twice in the past 5 years.
